Marketing Coordinator

Role:

To improve the credit union's competitive position within the markets served; work with Marketing Director to develop objectives, policies and programs for marketing activities of the credit union; coordinate fundraising efforts for the eCO Credit Union Foundation.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees eCO Credit Union Foundation fundraising campaigns to meet fundraising goals; track, monitor, and report fundraising totals monthly; plan events as needed.
  • Researches and recommends new Foundation outreach opportunities to promote financial literacy and education.
  • Assists Marketing Director in developing advertising and sales promotions for products and services; collaborate to create programs and collateral materials.
  • Conducts market research and makes recommendations for product/service modifications or improvements.
  • Assists Marketing Director in managing and developing online content, content libraries, and sources for social media interaction which meet strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Works with community group(s); promotes credit union and works with organization to maintain a positive relationship.
  • Coordinates special events; monitors planning, schedule and implementation as required for proper execution of each event.
  • Participates in brainstorming sessions with Marketing Director to make recommendations and develop effective ideas and techniques for special events, community programs, and products and services that best represent the brand and benefit the credit union.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education

  • (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program

Interpersonal Skills

  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of multimedia design platforms (Adobe Suite preferred).
  • Working knowledge of analytical tools as they relate to consumer engagement and reach.
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment for interpersonal and online member interaction.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
