ēCO Credit Union remains committed to enhancing the communities where our members reside, work, and play. Through our #ēCOmmunity campaign, we proudly recognize those extraordinary individuals who make a difference in their communities. Our employees unite in selecting someone who embodies the spirit of the credit union's "People Helping People" principle to be "Credit Unioned."
Alabaster Member Service Representative II, Nicole Baird, and the Alabaster Branch selected Sanchez Tanniehill as "Credit Unioned" for August. "I have seen Sanchez organize many different events for the community with the mission to give back," said Nicole. "He is a pleasure to work with and always so kind and inviting to us," Nicole added.
Sanchez Tanniehill is a dedicated advocate, musician, and leader whose life mission is to inspire others and bring awareness to stroke survivors. Most often, you will find Sanchez on the road doing ministry, sharing his story, and making a difference wherever he goes. As the CEO and Founder of God Did It Ministries, Sanchez not only leads an impactful non-profit organization for stroke victims, but also hosts an annual Stroke Awareness Day every May. His commitment extends further from organizing a special needs prom to leading school supply and sock drives. Sanchez is the author of a book that details his remarkable journey, as well as a book for children to enjoy. Living with his father currently, Sanchez’s story began with adversity when he suffered a stroke at just six weeks old. Sanchez has turned that challenge into a mission to help others. His greatest reward comes from connecting with people and making a positive impact in their lives. In addition to his ministry work, Sanchez enjoys bowling, watching movies, and spending time with friends. He is currently working on a movie that will share his story of overcoming adversity, and he successfully advocated for a bike lane to help improve accessibility for his community.
When asked about the feeling of being “Credit Unioned” by eCO Credit Union, Sanchez shared, "It feels awesome." He added, "The day has been accomplished!" Sanchez went on to express his appreciation for the support he receives: "Through my challenges, [eCO] always takes time to help me. When I call, they handle it. Everyone needs to try them."
Sanchez Tanniehill was surprised by Nicole Baird during his visit to the Alabaster branch. Nicole Biard and ēCO Credit Union awarded Sanchez with a gift basket and a Visa gift card.
Sanchez Tanniehill’s story is one of hope, resilience, and service. Through his ministry, music, books, and non-profit work, he has touched countless lives and made a lasting impact on the stroke survivor community and beyond. His dedication to leadership, music, and advocacy showcases the "People Helping People" spirit, inspiring positive change in every endeavor.
