Assistant Branch Manager - Riverchase

Role:

To direct and coordinate the activities of branch personnel, aiding the Branch Manager in ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • E 20% Open and maintain member accounts; perform IRA requests and transactions.
  • E 15% Reviews documents prepared by subordinate personnel to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • E 10% Trains new branch personnel; prepares work schedules; and monitors performance.
  • E 10% Removes, counts, and records cash from the vault.
  • E 10% Explains services to potential members and commercial account members to generate additional business and to promote positive member relations.
  • E 10% Assists subordinate personnel in balancing daily transactions; examines, evaluates, and processes loan applications.
  • E 5% Monitors branch office operations to ensure that security procedures are being followed and that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • E 5% Resolves account-related concerns with members.
  • E 5% Evaluates all branch activities to ensure they comply with established Credit Union policies, procedures, and objectives; recommends changes to the manager.
  • E 5% Manages the branch office in the absence of the manager.
  • N 5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  1. To provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  2. To maintain a cohesive, highly trained, and motivated staff, sufficient to meet the needs of members.
  3. To meet or exceed the annual budgeted operating plan for the branch.
  4. To maintain/improve the financial stability of the branch.
  5. To meet the branch growth plan.
  6. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.

Education

  • A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

  • Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
