Lobby Re-Opening Update

UPDATE, July 16: In accordance with Alabama's mask mandate, masks are now required to enter all ēCO lobbies. When you enter, we will briefly ask you to pull down your mask and show your photo ID. If you do not have a mask, please use the drive-thru.

UPDATE, June 30: By order of the Jefferson County Health Officer, masks are now required to enter ēCO’s lobbies in Jefferson County. When you enter, we will briefly ask you to pull down your mask and show your photo ID. If you do not have a mask, please use the drive-thru.

Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, we have closely followed updates from the Center for Disease Control and the Alabama Department of Public Health. Based on their guidance, we are excited to announce the following branch lobbies will re-open on Monday, June 1: Alabaster, Clay, Gardendale, McCalla, and Riverchase. Lobbies will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drive-thrus will continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

As we re-open branch lobbies, we will continue to take steps to protect our members and employees. A few things to note before you visit our branches:

  • Masks are not required to enter ēCO’s lobbies. If you choose to wear a mask, we will have an employee stationed at the door to verify your identity. They will ask you to briefly pull down your mask and show your photo ID. You may also be asked to pull down your mask at the teller window to confirm account access.
  • For health and safety reasons, we ask you to adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep six feet between yourself and other members. We will have tape marks on the floor to help designate spacing.
  • In order to maintain social distancing, we will limit the number of members allowed in the building at one time. The employee stationed at the door will monitor and let you know if you need to wait before entering the lobby. To help limit the number of members in the branch, we also ask that only the person completing the transaction enter the lobby.
  • If you do not feel well, do not enter the building.

We also have hand sanitizer stations set up for members. We encourage you to take advantage of them when visiting a branch.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make adjustments to protect our members and employees. We look forward to seeing and serving you in our lobbies soon!
