Kids Say the Darndest Things!

ēCO Credit Union started in 1939 as Jefferson County Teachers Credit Union. Through years of growth, ēCO has maintained a strong commitment to teachers and education throughout our field of membership.

Each year, ēCO provides academic calendars to schools in Central Alabama. As ēCO employees deliver calendars each spring, they are always met with excited faculty and staff; some even proudly show off their well-loved calendar from the current academic year. In addition to following the school year, the calendars include information and resources for teachers. A few of the bonus features are coupons for #2 pencils, a complete holiday schedule, a periodic table, math formulas, maps, and so much more.

In the past, each month has included inspirational quotes. For the 2020-2021 Academic Calendar, the quotes are all from popular books and authors. We are already dreaming up our 2021-2022 Academic Calendar, though, and we need your help.

Are you a parent or teacher with a funny, opinionated, talkative, passionate, or inquisitive child or student? Are you constantly finding yourself crying from laughter or in a constant state of embarrassment from what he or she said? We want to hear it! Submit quotes from your children or students that are witty, inspirational, or just down right funny. Your submission could be featured in the 2021-2022 Academic Calendar!

Please share with your friends! We want to hear all the best one-liners, audacious clap backs and diamonds of thought to freakishly honest questions about life. Send them our way!

There are two ways to submit your entries: Comment below or email marketing@ecocu.org. Be sure to add the subject line, “Kid’s Say the Darndest Things” when emailing. We’d also love to know the age of the child or student.

*Quotes will remain anonymous. Responses may be used in future ēCO Marketing, including but not limited to ecocu.org, Facebook, emails, and Academic Calendars.
