ēCO Credit Union remains dedicated to supporting the communities where our members reside, work, and play. We have the privilege of honoring those that go above and beyond for their community through the #eCOmmunity campaign. ēCO employees consider people of the community who best exemplify the credit union's "People Helping People" principle and choose one to be "Credit Unioned".

Riverchase’s Assistant Branch Manager, Isaiah Young, nominated Paul Lagrone to be “Credit Unioned” for July. “When I was thinking of who served the community he came to mind,” said Isaiah “He comes in to the branch occasionally and is always a blessing.” Isaiah added.

Paul Lagrone is a Hoover City Policeman and has been in the service for nearly ten years. He is assigned to the traffic unit where he works wrecks and ensures the safety of those travelling on the road.

When asked about the most rewarding part of serving his community as police officer, Lagrone stated, “Just knowing that you helped folks at the end of the day.” Officer Lagrone went on to add, “Whether people need tires changed or involved in wrecks, that you can be there for them and help them through the process.”

Paul has been married to his wife for nine years and are looking to celebrate their anniversary in September. Together, they have two young boys who Officer Lagrone really enjoys spending time with! His hobbies consist of fishing, hunting, and gardening through the season. Officer Lagrone is faithful at Green Pond Baptist Church and participates in numerous opportunities around the community to help in any way that he can.

“It makes me feel good. I have really enjoyed the credit union since I’ve been a part of it,” said Paul when asked about being “Credit Unioned.”

Paul Lagrone epitomizes the credit union's "People Helping People" philosophy. Office Lagrone is a true example of what it means to help others, whether it be through his work as a police officer, mowing lawns for the elderly, or creating decks for the disabled.

“It does make you feel good that someone notices,” said Paul Lagrone. “I just enjoy helping folks the best that I can” Officer Lagrone added.

ēCO Credit Union employees surprised Office Paul Lagrone with a gift basket and generous gift card.

We are appreciative of Officer Paul Lagrone's community work. Our key beliefs at the credit union are "People Helping People," and we are grateful to individuals like Officer Lagrone who are always willing to lend a hand.
