June #eCOmmunity – Chris and Jaycylyn Nail

ēCO Credit Union remains committed to serving the areas where our members live, work, and play. Through the #eCOmmunity initiative, we have the honor of recognizing individuals who go above and beyond for their community. Employees of ēCO nominate community members to be "Credit Unioned" who best represent the credit union's "People Helping People" philosophy.

Trussville’s Branch Manager, Trisha Bowman, nominated Chris and Jaycylyn Nail to be “Credit Unioned” for June. “The Trussville branch nominated the Nails because they are genuine, caring people that make a difference in our community,” said Trisha. “The Nails are long term members that we all can consider family,” Trisha added.

Chris Nail is a Clay City Councilman and serves the North Alabama area as a Sales Representative for Jostens Yearbooks. Jaycylyn works as a paraprofessional at Grantswood Community School in the Jefferson County School System, where she serves a variety of student needs.

When both were asked about the most rewarding part of their jobs, Mr. Nail discussed working with yearbook staff to produce yearbooks that the community will be proud of. Mrs. Nail described the most rewarding part of her job as her ability to provide love and care for the children she works with.

Together, Chris and Jaycylyn Nail have two children, a daughter and a son, and one newborn grandchild. Both Chris and Jaycylyn have gone on youth mission trips when their children were younger.  Golf is a very important part of the Nail family, and the Nails are involved with junior golf in the state.  Both are actively involved in their church; Jaycylyn sings in the choir and Chris serves as a deacon at Northpark Baptist Church.

“It’s a blessing. I just feel so honored to have been recognized,” said Jaycylyn when asked about being “Credit Unioned.”

The Nails fully embody the credit union`s philosophy of “People Helping People”. Whether that is through their activity in the church, their professions, or through golf, the Nails truly exemplify what it means to help people.

“We just love this credit union,” said Chris Nail. “Any needs we have, they meet them; so, we’re really happy with [ēCO].” Jaycylyn added, “Here, we just feel like we are a part of the family!”

ēCO Credit Union employees surprised Mr. and Mrs. Nail with a gift basket and generous gift card to Robert Trent Jones at Ross Bridge.

We value the work that Chris and Jaycylyn Nail do to support the community. The credit union's core values are "People Helping People," and we are appreciative of people like you who are constantly willing to help.
