April #eCOmmunity - Michael Northcutt

ēCO Credit Union has a strong commitment to the communities where our members live, work, and play. We are excited to continue the #eCOmmunity program in 2023. We are proud to recognize those who go above and beyond for their community through the #eCOmmunity initiative.

Members of the community who embody the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” are nominated by ēCO employees to be “Credit Unioned.”

Alabaster Assistant Branch Manager, Stacey Broadhead, nominated Mr. Michael Northcutt to be “Credit Unioned” for April. “I nominated Mr. Northcutt because he is the definition of kind. He goes out of his way to be kind to people and always has the kindest smile. He has a very up-beat attitude and always asks how everyone is doing,” said Stacey.

Michael said, “I love being a member of ēCO Credit Union because the people that work here make me feel welcomed and they treat me like family here and not just a member number. That is why I have such a strong connection with ēCO Credit Union.”

“Mr. Northcutt makes a positive impact on the community with every person-to-person encounter he makes. His positive attitude is infectious and can turn anyone’s bad day around. We need more people like Michael Northcutt. He was also part of the Shelby School System for many years. He is an all-around -great soul to get to know,” said Stacey.

Michael is a retired Custodial Supervisor of Shelby County School Systems. He is also a husband, father, and caregiver. Some of his hobbies include spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, attending church, and helping save the environment by recycling and making more green choices.

“I am humbled and grateful. Family is the greatest aspect in my life and taking care of my family is very important to me. That is why I am so humbled and grateful.” says Michael.

ēCO Credit Union employees surprised Michael with a gift basket and VISA gift card at the Alabaster Branch.

Thank you, Mr. Northcutt, for always being kind and willing to help others! We are so grateful for people like you that leave a positive impact on others and being the exact representation of what the credit union stands for, “People Helping People”.
